CCFC hosts a high school solo competition, a collegiate solo competition and a master class as part of our annual Flute Fest event.

For round one of the competition participants will submit a recording of the required repertoire. If selected, participants will perform live at Flute Fest for the final round of compeition. Winners of the high school and collegiate solo competitions will receive a cash prize. ​

HS Soloist Competition:

Hypnosis for Flute and Piano, by Ian Clarke

 

Collegiate Competition:

Suite for Flute and Piano, Op. 34, by Charles-Marie Widor, IV Final

 

The repertoire for the recorded, first round and the live, final round is the same. Both rounds will require piano accompaniment.
