    CCFC Flute Fest, February 24, 2024, 10 am - 8 pm

    Boise's annual gathering to celebrate flutes and flutists. Enjoy flute choirs, concerts, workshops, vendors, a Master Class, and solo competitions. CCFC membership is required to attend the Flute Fest's morning and afternoon events. The concerts are open to to the public.

    CCFC is excited to announce Rhonda Larson as our Guest Artist. Ms. Larson will teach an Ethnic Flutes Class, a Master Class and perform a show. Ms. Larson is a Grammy Award-winning flutist and composer. She tours worldwide and has a discography of over 20 commercial recordings. Ms. Larson won the National Flute Association's Young Artist Competition at the age of 22. She currently serves as a member of the World Flute Society Board of Directors.     The 2024 CCFC Flute Fest will include three competition opportunities. 

    • High School Solo Competition with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place flutists

      • 1st Place-$300, 2nd Place-$150, 3rd Place-$75

      • Repertoire for Round 1: Summer Music, Movement 3 by Richard Rodney Bennett

      • Repertoire for Round 2: Above piece and also Telemann Fantasie #3

    • Collegiate Solo Competition with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place flutists​​

      • 1st Place-$600, 2nd Place-$300, 3rd Place-$150

      • Repertoire for Round 1: Sonatina for flute and piano, Movement 1 Vivo by Blaz Pucihar

      • Repertoire for Round 2: Above piece and also Danza de la Mariposa by Valerie Coleman​

    • Master Class: Open to advanced players of all ages.

    Will submit a piece of your choice (5-8 mins in length). Based on recorded submissions, top flutists will be selected to perform in Rhonda Larson's Master Class during the Flute Fest.​

    To enter: You must complete your registration for the Flute Fest and submit the competition form no later than JANUARY 1, 2024. 

    Registration for the Solo Competitions and the Master Class is closed.
