Ensembles

The Capital City Flute Club offers ensemble and performance opportunities for musicians throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley. Our goal is to provide a flute home for every flute player in the Treasure Valley, with a welcoming community where musicians of all experience levels can make music, grow as performers, and connect with others who share their love of the flute.
 

Our primary ensembles include the Capital City Flute Orchestra, our adult flute orchestra, and the Capital City Junior Flute Choir, which gives younger musicians opportunities to develop their musicianship, strengthen ensemble skills, and enjoy performing with their peers.
 

Unlike traditional bands and orchestras, where flutes are just one section of a larger ensemble, our flute choirs showcase the entire flute family. Our ensembles feature piccolo, C flute, alto flute, bass flute, and contrabass flute, creating a remarkable range of colors and textures, from the brilliance of the piccolo to the deep resonance of the contrabass flute.
